New Gluten Free Clives Pie’s Stockists

Spar on North Hill are now selling the gluten free version of the delicious organic vegetarian pies from Clive’s Pies.  They are selling for a limited trial period, so if this is something you’d like to see remain then make sure you snap some up over the next couple of weeks.  In addition to this The Co-op group have announced on Twitter that they will also be selling Gluten Free Clive’s Pies in selected Devon stores in the near future.  Of course you can also buy Clive’s Pies (and Clive’s cakes!) at Plymouth Green Grocer as recently discussed.  Healthy Pulses, Juice Moose, Performance Yachting and Marjons all stock Clive’s gluten free pies in Plymouth.

Plymouth Green Grocer, new GF products

News this week that Plymouth Green Grocer will very shortly be stocking products from the popular Foodamentalists range.  It’s excellent to see their dedication to expanding the range of gluten free products available in Plymouth.  It’s also great to be able to buy products that can be cost prohibitive when ordering on-line due to postage costs or needing to buy bulk.  In addition to this they are now stocking Pom Bear crisps which are labelled gluten free and also have a cult following amongst many of my coeliac Twitter friends!

Las Iguanas to launch in Plymouth

Well seemingly old news, but new news to me is that Las Iguanas are opening a restaurant in Royal William Yard later this year.  Offering South American food, including Mexican, they also have the good grace to clearly mark Gluten Free items on the menu.  I have eaten at the Bristol branch several times whilst working away and have had good experiences, so I’m looking forward to this one.

JD’s Grill

Another restaurant that has now just opened in Plymouth is JD’s Grill.  They are offering gourmet burgers and Southern American influenced food, and have told me on Twitter “all our burgers and sandwiches will be available on gluten free bread, and all other dishes will be (gf) where possible”.  I’d love to hear from any coeliacs who have visited.  It would be great to know if you have had a good experience and if they have gluten cross contamination measures in place.  Please comment below if you’ve been!
